Somewhere there exists a place permeated by heat and light, vast and sparse of decoration, unflinching beneath fluttering clouds, flinging itself steadily and perpetually into the path of the sun. This place nearly suggests infinity. Many trails wind across the unknowable distance. Many are well-worn and others are just beginning to unfold.

It is here that Berk and Horn emerge at twinned points in unassuming glory as a high-grit reflection of Fripp & Eno, friendly hands reaching across the yawning divide, pulling air and fire like taffy until the ribbons fall and shimmer their way down to earth.

Benevolent hallucinations bloom in their wake–first the granular engine roar of fast-moving travelers (a distant but sure sign of fellow life,) then the spectacularly unexpected ghost of Tchaikovsky, hovering in winsome repose, and later, an hourglass that seems to never empty. Each recedes until they’ve evaporated from all but memory, yet the warmth of them lingers on.

There is an easy openness to these instrumental conversations between friends, smilingly heedless of the twin canyons of time and space that twist and ravel between them. The exchanges are kind and weightless, like dry and cooling winds that lift everything they touch in a gently swaying embrace. It would do anyone well to listen in for a time.
